Meet our Board of Directors for the Pierce County Foundation
The Master Gardener Foundation of Pierce County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Since 1987, our mission has been to raise funds to financially support a variety of WSU Master Gardener programs in Pierce County to provide current, research based education about horticulture and environmental stewardship to the people of Pierce county and beyond. Our funding helps our wonderful master gardener volunteers run our two demonstration gardens, plant clinics, local food bank donations and our speakers bureau. We also provide funding and education to community gardens, as well as supporting the inmate gardening program at the Washington State Women’s Correctional Center in conjunction with Tacoma Community College.

Master Gardener Foundation of Pierce County. Mission:
To support the Washington State University Extension Master Gardener Program in its efforts to provide public education in gardening and environmental stewardship generated from research at Washington State University and other university systems through education, communication and advocacy.
